Why deliveries are taking longer during the summer holidays

Parcels are currently arriving up to 10 days later than usual while postal and courier networks run on holiday staffing. What that means for your order, what we control and what we don't, and what to do if your deck is a gift with a date.

If your printed deck is taking longer to arrive than you expected, nothing has gone wrong with your order. Deliveries are simply slower than usual at this time of year, and we'd rather tell you that now than leave you wondering.

What's happening

Through August and early September 2026, the holiday season across much of the world leaves postal services and courier networks running with smaller teams. Sorting takes longer, handovers take longer, and parcels are currently arriving up to 10 days later than they normally would. We expect things to be back to normal by the middle of September.

This affects the delivery leg — everything that happens after your deck leaves us. It is not a sign that your parcel is lost, stuck, or forgotten.

What we control, and what we don't

We'd rather be straight with you about where the line sits.

Ours: making your deck, checking it, and getting it dispatched inside the production window we promised you. That has not changed — printing still takes up to 14 business days after you approve your cards, or 21 business days for a Standard Edition or a Collector's Edition. If we ever miss that, it's on us, and your tracking page will say so plainly rather than quietly moving the date.

Not ours: what happens to your parcel once a carrier has it. We can't move it up a queue, add staff to a sorting hub, or make a delivery van arrive sooner — and neither can anyone who tells you otherwise.

What we can do is keep you honestly informed, and step in if a parcel genuinely goes wrong.

Does this delay my production time?

No. Your deck is printed, finished and dispatched on exactly the same schedule as always. The extra days are on the road, not at the press.

How to follow your parcel

Every printed order has its own tracking code — it looks like TL-7K3D-92QX — and its own page. Open the link in your shipping email, or go to your order page and use the button that takes you to your deck's journey.

Lost the code? Visit tails-ai.com/track and enter your tracking code or your order number. If you have neither to hand, enter the email address you ordered with and we'll send your tracking links straight back to you.

Two things are worth knowing while the networks are slow. First, quiet stretches are normal — a parcel can go several days without a scan, especially right now, and that on its own doesn't mean anything is wrong. Second, an update telling you the shipping label has been created is not the same as your parcel having been collected: it means a carrier has registered your parcel and is about to pick it up.

We only ever show you real updates. We never invent one to fill a gap, so a page that hasn't moved is telling you the truth.

If your deck is a gift with a date

This is the one case where we'd genuinely like to hear from you, while there's still time to do something about it. If your deck is for a birthday, an anniversary, or another day that can't move, email us at support@tails-ai.com with the date and we'll do everything we can to get it to you in time.

One thing that often solves it: the digital version of your deck has no delivery step at all. If the date is close, you can download the high-resolution images and the print-ready PDF straight away and have something to give while the printed deck is still on its way.

If something has actually gone wrong

Slower is not the same as lost. But if your parcel arrives damaged, arrives misprinted, or is confirmed lost by the carrier, we print and ship you a fresh deck at our cost. Write to us at support@tails-ai.com with your tracking code and we'll take care of it.

Ordering right now?

Order as you normally would — just allow these extra days on top of the usual production window if the deck is meant for a particular date. If you need it immediately, the digital version is available the moment your deck is ready.
