How do I request a refund?

Refund requests are self-serve on your order page. What's refundable (printed decks before print confirmation), why digital orders are final once created, and how free edits fix almost everything.

If you're unhappy with your cards, you can almost always fix it yourself — open the "Edit" window on any card (or use "Bulk edit") to regenerate or adjust it. Each plan includes a free edits allowance, everyone gets 20 free relaxed-pace (slower) edits every day, and fixing genuine rendering defects is always free. You can purchase more edits anytime; Collector's Edition orders include unlimited edits. For hands-on help, ask the Order Assistant via the (?) icon on your order page, or add the "Artisan edits" add-on (from the edit modal or the diamond icon on your order page).

Refund requests are self-serve, on your order page

All purchases are final: every order is a unique, personalized creation generated from your photos, so digital orders can't be refunded once your deck has been created — it can't be taken back or resold. Where a refund is available, you request it directly on your order page, no emails needed:

  • Before your deck is created: we only start creating your deck after your explicit go-ahead on the order page. If you decide not to proceed, choose the refund option shown right there instead.

  • Printed decks before print confirmation: until you approve your deck for printing, you can switch to the digital edition from your order page — we refund the difference between the printed and the digital price, and the full digital deck stays yours.

A scheduled refund is processed automatically after 5 business days, back to your original payment method — and you can cancel it and keep your order at any point before then.

If an unresolvable technical failure prevents you from receiving or editing your order — the only case in which a digital order is refunded — email support@tails-ai.com with your order number and what went wrong. We'll regenerate your order or issue a full refund.
